Fashionshoot for Augusto Diamanti with erik A

in the next weeks I will update this place with several photo shots for the Italian Fashiondesigner Augusto Diamanti from Rome. The model is new and for the average taste she is definitely too thin. Specially with the ongoing debate about Eating Disorders in the modelbussiness.
There is always a lot of pressure and opinion building from the media on this topic. In the same magazine you find articles about a public persons or a stars considered as  too thin and " anorexic" and next to it  you find commercials for dieting . And  in the next issue they use an other foto of a former " too thin" person that shows her bigger, with the headline " OMG why has she become so fat? Is she unhappy?....etc.

In my opinion theater, cinema opera, ballet and also fashion (specially Haute Couture) are all about dreams and imagination and fantasy. They show unreal persons, cinderellas, faries, aliens, vampires, catwomen and superheroes, we normal people dream about.It makes our normal lives more colourful. Also very thin fashion models dressed in wonderful dresses and mystical settings give us this unreal moments for our fantasy. no one will ever become like that in real life. We never will look like a Cinerella fly like Tinkerbell,or Peter Pan or be a Catwoman in real life. But many people, also because of the modern paralell world of internet, drop intoo a virtual world, lead a virtual life, want to become like their fantasies to forget about their problems in real life. That is most worring.Because they do not get a manual sheet  how to use the advantages of fantasy, virtual world and dreams, without running danger in getting lost there , because there are no limits at all.

I see my extremely thin models, that apear in my pictures  as artists that express an atmosphere, a certain style of fantasy, that for some might be disturbing, for others fascinating,for some  maybe beautiful. We together the models and me develope also the settings. Definitely not everybodies thing. But nobdy can be everybodies darling.

But for everybody there should be a little space to breathe.
