I think I need to explain something, rearding the last set of fotos, which I posted. The model from "the cross"  again is erik A, like in many pictures. The shooting took place on 21 and 22 march 2010 , when she was at her skinniest. In the meanwhile she gained some weight. All pictures from erik A on this page are the product of only  3 shootings. The first session took two days and was for the Augusto Diamanti fashion collection. Also the "cross" had been taken during these two days.
A second shooting took place at the models hometown for a half day on  21. May 2010,
and the 3rd shooting, the "carneval  and black fairy" session  lasted two days, from 8. June 2010.
"All" the pictures in this page have been done within these 5 days. The model herself enjoyed the shooting and she gave her own input, regarding ideas, make up and settings. etc.  She was not forced for anything. Some pictures  from the same shooting look more dramatic than otheres. That is because the the contrast or brillance had been altered with photoshop. Also the backgrounds had been cleaned up. Never there has been set any action against the models will. The picture of " the cross" for instance is from the same setting like the foto " the frame" that has been posted earlier here. Both where taken a few minutes away from each other. The cross only looks like the model is tied up. She is not . she is just holding on to a rope. The black cross , originally is a white tape.

I know, the picture that is drawn of the women here is extreme and does not match with any mainstream criteria of what is considered beautiful. Depending on the eye of the beholder, some might just feel horror and pain in seeing such thin creatures, might think about illness and eating disorders, feel to feed them and donate a burger. My excuse to them.  Others instead, and I think it is the majority of the visitors, might experience, that they cannot turn away their eyes because of a certain fascination at second glance, as they begin to discover a beauty of a different kind, because of the esthetic concept  these pictures here are composed with.
I think it is clear that such a thin body-form cannot be healthy. Even not, when some models do claim to be  normally that thin. But this page is not about health, it is , as I will try to explain below.  This page is about Passion.
In fact all the models for various reasons where at their skinniest, when these pictures had been taken and all of them turned to a less dangerous weight after a while. Partly also as a result of the shooting. Still the pictures of them are here on display, to give sight into a short period of their lives, seconds of a shoot, minutes or only some hours for a special setting. The models themselves had a function similar to actors in a play, put into scene and their bones highlighted  for purpose to maximize  the effect of their skinny form. Thus creating a mystic world of  creatures that seem different,  more like aliens than human persons, or fairies  with a strange and morbid kind of beauty.

At first glance... a tale in pictures, a phantasy. At second glance...for those who read between the lines,  these pictures could be taken as  a mirror of how our society has become. They could make them reflect about the pressure of society to have a specific body form, aubout the need to be healthy or the right to live the way someone prefers to. About, individuality killed by mass media, superficial, mainstream orientated simplifications, about diseases and disturbances of our times off course, and how individualism  is so often tied by non tolerant opinions. About dreams and phantasies and how they could be realized instead of only be wished and thought.

Dreams should be lived and life should not be dreamed. For that it  needs a lot of PASSION. In translation (from latin) passion means to be willing to suffer and accept even pain to arrive  at  a special goal or result.

Passion is dangerous. Passion is uncomfortable . Passion can kill. But without Passion one is dead already. PASSION always means to live the LIFE with intensity.

Passion is needed to build something marvelous.  Passion leads to success. Passion makes the dancer forget all the pain, the moment the crowd applauses. Passion lets the painter paint things he is afraid of, things that reveil, and disturb, but still make him do it because he needs to. Passion is a wonderful feeling. It is like love. It hurts and it makes people shiver. It can drive you crazy. It needs courage. And sometimes, to prevent you from falling endlessly you need to pull the line. The line that is called RATIO.
The pictures here are the result of a lot of passion. Everyone who participated in the shootings gave his personal input. The result turned out to be ambiguous, beautiful, mystic, shocking, twisted, morbid and not normal, because normality is just boring.

Over all the pictures make the visitor think, make them angry, astonished, fascinated or just confused. They make them shiver and feel, they make them change opinion and discover something new, a different kind of beauty maybe. They make them reflect about society. About diseases life and death.  In fact, sometimes one has to make friends with death and dance together with him to learn to laugh about him. Then it is possible that also there Beauty can be found and seen because we are not afraid anymore. The definition of what is Beautiful is only  manmade definition and variates like colors in a rainbow. In one place of the world something that is considered as beautiful might be the ugliest thing some where else.  But we invest a lot of Passion to find out what is it all about.

So this page is about a Passion for a certain Kind of Beauty,  it is not about death. It is about LIFE.

And besides  all that PASSION  everyone here has contributed, in one hand we always keep  the line for RATIO .

By the way, "carne vale" means bye bye flesh ( or meat) in latin .

Off course the catholic celebration of eating up all the rest of remaining meat before starting  the 40 days fasting period until easter , gets another meaning , when you watch all these pictures here.

I am still reflecting on all the comments you have left here on this place, the good ones and the critical ones. Thank you for all of them.
I actually wanted to arrive at this point. To debate about the problematics of that kind of pictures. Because extreme thinness traditionally has become mostly  the symptom for famine in the world, war, disease,and psychological sufferings.. but today there exists also  Because our society has changed and there are a different ways to look at things.  
I see my pictures also as  a  mirror of our society. Which is open for many directions and gives space and individuality to everyone to choose a particular lifestyle.As long no one else is put under pressure, exploited against his free will or forced into something.  
  Some may call this  Decadency, others call it freedom of opinion. I show here   a certain esthetics combined with a body-form that  is unusual and maybe for most people abnormal. I think it is clear that it is not healthy to be  hat thin. But the health issue is not the point. We do many other unhealthy things in life and  everybody is free to choose his own way of living, lifestyle  or philosophy to become happy with or not.

And please, do not try to sell any Burgers here, nobody eats that kind of junk. Not me and not the models.
